Want to learn the Beautiful art of clay plaster?

Creating gorgeous clay plaster isn't quite as easy as just slapping a bunch of mud on a wall. It's an ancient art and science. If you're serious about earthen plaster work, you might want to have a look at my popular online course.

Here's What Participants Have Said...

I’ve run natural and sustainable building workshops all over the world, and I love it. It gives me great satisfaction to enable people. But what do those who’ve participated think? I’ll hand over to them in the comments.

Hi Atulya, Annie here. Omg where do you start. Absolutely nothing negative came out of the earth plaster workshop here in Adelaide South Australia. The teacher (you) was amazing and so positive and full of knowledge, you made the workshop run so smoothly. The land which was mine, to me was the perfect location for what the workshop was all about. We did get a few seasons in the time you were here. The participants were the most amazing positive friendly inspiring people I have met in such a long time. I learnt so much by all of them. It felt like a family was created in those 4 days. Every person is most welcome back here anytime. The information in the workshop was so valuable for me that I started implementing it all here straight away. A lot of it was time saving for me by tweaking what I was doing as I do it all on my own. Thank you to you (Atulya) and everyone that was here for your personalities, my land loved you all and is still telling me still now.

I did the Australian plaster and cob course with Atulya, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We covered all the aspects of earthen plasters and cob making, in theory and practice. I particularly liked all the hands on work, despite not being experienced in clay work.
The atmosphere was great and I couldn't ask for a better group of participants, or a more energetic environment.
Loved every minute of it.
Can't wait to use my new skills!

I had a wonderful experience last summer on the workshop in Romania, so much so that we are hosting a course ourselves at our home in Bulgaria this summer!

I learned so much in just a few days, and participating with a group of like minded people is always so much better than watching on YT or doing online courses (although I did still get the online clay and lime courses to keep my memory fresh)

I look forward to sharing the skills and knowledge with the next group!

I attended a five day Earth Building and Earth Plaster workshop in South Australia late last year. It was exactly what I needed to build my knowledge and skills up to a level where I could start my own build and plastering back home. Not only did the hands on learning approach really work for my learning style It also provided a sense of community and connection with the other participants. I returned home with a sparkle in my spirit and a deep appreciation that I was in a position to attend. Atulya is a brilliant teacher as well brilliant human being. Life feels better knowing this type of work is growing and fellow earth loving do people exist ✨️

Dear Atulya,

This little comment is dedicated to you! :)

Folks, thanks for reading! :)

In our little world, there is an abundance of things that can be done better. Many will be, many will not be - eventually. This is how the world turns, I suppose.

I started thinking about sustainable living a good 27 years ago. As well as about alternative lifestyles, politics, the world and life in general.

I did participate in Atulya's earthbag building workshop (in Olympos/Turkey) back in 2016. A few months before my son - Toprak (meaning "Earth" in Turkish), was born.

It was the first and so far only real practical move in the direction of building sustainable housing. It was also a life-changing experience. If it was only up to me, I probably would have stayed forever.

Sure, it was also exhausting. Like all "learning-situations" are. It was also unfathomably deep. I keep - amongst others - experiences of love, which will accompany me for the rest of my life - hopefully beyond - in sha' Allah (meaning: hopefully)!

I treasure the paper-printouts of the workshop (and keep sending them to friends, who inquire about Earthbag building) - which will surely be of good use when I finally get to the point of owning my own land (- in a country with more openness than Germany...). Of course, I could (and should - and will!!) start before that. There is always a good friend who owns land and wants a house...!

My goal is to make the decision that Atalya made. Build a house and change the world. Change from imagining, hoping, dreaming, talking.... to doing! Nothing more, nothing less. And that is quite something.

If you ask me about the workshop... it was better than I had hoped for. The organization was perfect, the food was lovely! :) And all the people that I wanted to meet were there. Can't get any better. I hope I can do version 2.0 anytime soon <3

Best wishes,

Domi

The mud workshop at D'Annies farm was the best experience I've ever had!

Atulya was not only a great wealth of knowledge, she was also a wonderful teacher being able to inform us accurately of processes involved with so much fun & laughter - she's such a beautiful soul too!

We all bonded while Anne nourished us with amazing delicious food, she too is an amazing human!

I came away excited to put these practices into my home (I also joined Atulya's course) so I will continue to learn having this resource 😊

I have made so many new friends and learnt a skill that I have wanted for many years of which I am forever grateful 🙏
